OLD FRIENDS!!!

When your in school, you don't really think you can ever loose contact with someone you meet every day. You never think of losing contact with the boy who was siting next to you in the school bus for years or the girl whom you called your closest friend or the guy who sat in front of you in class for 2 years sharing his notes with you.  you never stop to wonder because you are so sure that these people are your good friends and you'll be talking to them your whole life. but like always life has its own plans for you.

One day school gets over, you move on with your life and the people who were your 'good friends' also move along. the first month or even year, you talk regularly and then as the years go by you delay the phone calls because your busy with something else, no more mails or calls. one fine day you wake up and start counting back to the years that came between your friendship and you think of calling up your friends and catching up. but at exactly that moment you remember something more important and say to yourself," oh! i'l call him later its been years so whats a few more minutes or hours". and then you forget.  but what you don't really know is life is waiting for the right moment to push those friends back into your life. because when you least expect it they do come back into your life and it is then you wonder why the f*** had we stopped talking...

The best part about this is that once you start talking after the years of not being in contact you see more clearly the difference between the kid who sat beside you in the school bus and the man who is siting beside you then talking about life and environmental engineering... or the guy who wrote cheesy poems to the writer who is busy publishing his first book. or the girl who made you run behind her bf to the woman who has learnt to  live life on her own... and you feel proud of the people they have become, you feel great that after all these years you can just resume your friendship from where you left it off without being awkward or uneasy. and just like that your back to sharing joking and just enjoying the easy time spent talking and chilling with them. 

Maybe thats why friendship is such a funny relationship. even after years of silence all you need is one memory or joke to crack you up, to have you hi-fying and just laughing. and even though school friends or rather childhood friends may not always be your best buddies they always hold a special place in your heart because it is with them that you have memories that can be rivaled by none. they are the people who accept you as a nobody and don't treat you any different even after you become a somebody.
